For international partners, EFN provides training, managed mentoring, and access to the Silicon Valley and other regional entrepreneurial ecosystems. EFN has helped develop and supported international programs since 2004 when we began serving as the mentoring partner for the Global Social Venture Competition and the Global Social Entrepreneurship Challenge sponsored by the Gates Foundation.
Academy for Women Entrepreneurs: South Korea
The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs: South Korea will support a cohort of women in South Korea looking to develop or expand their technology-based startups through education, networking, and mentorship from US-based entrepreneurs, leaders, and investors.
Jump Startup Woman Spain
In September 2022, EFN partnered with the ScaleUp & Growth Strategy Center of the ESADE Entrepreneurship Institute to execute a mentor-based accelerator for 40 women entrepreneurs in Spain with scalable businesses. This project is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Madrid and the U.S. Consulate General in Barcelona. The Jump Startup Women Accelerator supports women in Spain looking to expand their technology-based startups through training, mentoring and access to people and resources to take their next big step.
Empower Queensland
In 2021, EFN partnered with the State of Queensland, Australia, to launch a women’s entrepreneur mentoring program, Empower Queensland, funded by the U.S State Department, via their Australian Embassy.
African Entrepreneurship Award
The African Entrepreneurship Award (AEA) was founded in 2014, supported by President Obama at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford. The AEA has more than 50 African university partners and approximately half of the 4000 people who entered the competition are current students or recent grads. The AEA offers $1 million to winners and is sponsored by BMCE Bank of Africa.
